ok..normally i don't post that often...but in this case...fuCK!!! so this entry might be a bit long in writing...but u guys can read it...i still can't believe this shit still goes on... this is the letter i wrote to my professor along with talking to him: ________________________________________________________________________________ This is what happened on Friday during our group meeting: Instead of doing a one-on one interview where one person gets to only listen to one other person. Our group decided to go around in a circle introducing everybody, have the person on the right of the speaker record and write the paragraph on the speaker. The person who was to write on me was *****. It was my turn to speak and my introduction went something like this: My name is Lin-Te Chen. I was born in Taipei, Taiwan. I moved to Toronto, Canada when I was six years old and stayed there for about five years. I later went back to Taiwan and attended Taipei American School. I have a one-year-older brother that currently attends university near Vancouver, Canada. I like to hang out with my friends and play sports and games during my free time. I would like to become a successful CPA and a very rich man. My special skills are that I am bilingual; I can speak English and Mandarin. After I finished, ***** said, “You speak Mandarin? So you’re from China?” And I answered “I was born in Taiwan, never really been to China yet.” ***** then said, “So what’s your name? I need to write a paragraph on you, ching?” I ignored her and said, “No, it’s Lin-Te.” I just thought she might have been kidding and just to let it pass. After I read the attachment in the first email, I sent out an email showing disbelief and being offended, but she did not respond or apologize in any manner. I do not think her comprehensive skills are that bad. The reason I think she understood me and still wrote very offensive stuff is the fact that she knew I said Mandarin but later became Malay. Therefore, I think having bad comprehensive skills would not be an excuse. I thought the paragraph she wrote was very offensive and very disrespectful. Being involved in APA issues on campus for the past two years, I feel this is too ridiculous. _____________________________________________________________________________ the paragraph she wrote was....(the attachment in the first email) I have the opportunity to interview one of my group members whose name is Chen Lin-Te. Chen is an international student who comes from Thailand. He has been in the state for about five years now. He is a junior in the college of business majoring in accountancy. Chen loved hanging out with his friends on his free time and play game. During this past summer, Chen gone home and visit some of his relative and friends in Thailand. Chen wants to become a successful accountant and becomes a man rich. Chen can speak more than one language: Malay and English. Chen have a young boy whom his left in Thailand with her mother. this paragraph was sent to all my group memebers...who the FUCK DOES SHE THINK SHE IS?? sigh...its ok if u guys wanna laugh..yea..i admit its kinda funny..and fucking creative...but ...this is serious..and it just fucking blows...yea..i talked to my prof and everything...he says he'll talk to her..and im switching out of the section...but its just fucking sucks...how this shit is going on...and its only the 2nd week of school.. this was upper level accounting class...操...會計第一名?? 個屁...媽的... i hate this...i just wanna go home.... |
